Thousands in German

Important: All German numbers from 1000 onwards use a decimal point or a space in place of the comma used in English (e.g. not 1,000, rather 1.000)

The abbreviation for 'thousand' in German is: 'Tsd.' You might also see 'Mille' which is slang for thousand, similar to 'grand' in English.

(N.B. Please do not confuse this with 'Mill.' which is the abbreviation for million in German.)
